Thanks, Jason! This is somewhere outside of Mount Horeb. You discover a lot of things when you have time to amble about the countryside.
It might be a deer; it's hard to tell. I walked up a bit to get another angle and it's not in those shots, so whatever it is I must have scared it into hiding.

All photos taken with an Olympus E300. This is a four-thirds system camera, with a 2:1 ratio, meaning if I say a photo was taken at 50mm it's the equivalent of 100 mm on a film camera.
This is a nice picture. Where is it? I forgot Christmas tree farms still exist.
